GTA 6 Aims to Be “The Greatest Entertainment Experience Ever,” Says Take-Two CEO

The hype surrounding GTA 6 is reaching unprecedented levels, and now Take-Two Interactive’s CEO has added even more fuel to the fire with bold claims about Rockstar Games’ ambitions.
In an interview with CNBC, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two (the parent company of Rockstar Games), stated:
“Rockstar Games is trying to create the best thing anyone’s ever seen in entertainment—not just interactive entertainment.”
He acknowledged that expectations are sky-high, but emphasized that Rockstar is committed to meeting those standards.
The second GTA 6 trailer has already shattered viewership records, with fans obsessively analyzing every one of its 5,000 frames. Despite this massive hype, Zelnick explained that the game’s delay reflects a commitment to excellence:
“The delay is really a reflection of the desire to polish and deliver the best possible experience for consumers. As a company, we’re known not to have a slavish devotion to release dates, but instead to pursue top-tier quality.”
Zelnick also reiterated a point he has made in the past:
“Generally, when we announce a date for certain, we’re able to hit that date.”
Historically, that has held true with major Rockstar releases like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, giving fans hope that GTA 6 will follow a similar trajectory.
Although the exact GTA 6 release date is still under wraps, it’s clear that both Rockstar Games and Take-Two are aiming not just to break records, but to redefine what entertainment can be.
